This range of 30 oil colours is particularly suited to painting on smooth or semi-rough surfaces, white, pale or prepared with micaceous bases of pearly colour. Iridescent pigments, pearly or metallic, can be added to individual colours, as the artist prefers. This line is formulated with very fluid, very bright drying oils. We recommend thinning with the appropriate mediums, useful for all lines of oil paints. It is best to use semi-hard or soft ox-hair brushes, applying limited amounts ofpaint or, depending on the chosen type of execution, even glazing. Applied in a thin coat, HD oil dries in 24 to 48 hours, depending on the colour used, and this feature makes it extraordinarily suitable for the glazing technique since layers of colour can be superimposed in short amounts of time. All the tints in the range are devoid of substances considered hazardous for humans and the environment, and so HD oils are part of the modern products that demonstrate Maimeri's attention to protecting health. It may be advisable, when the painting is finished, to repeatedly coat it with shiny or semi-shiny varnish in order to make the surface look deep, layered and almost vitreous. The special formulation makes pasta thick, with opaque appearance, the phenomenon is resolved as soon as the color is worked with a palette knife or brush.
